HMO Query Data Exchange

 Purpose

Submit HMO  Query in the IRIS is a tool that is used by HMO/MCO Organizations to query and find their patients in IRIS using their organizations Patient ID/Chart Number.

NOTE:  This is a legacy flat file feature for designed for HMO Organizations.  IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN HL7 BI-DIRECTIONAL QUERY/RESPONSE USE THE EXCHANGE DATA LINK.. Please contact the Help Desk for more information on data exchange setup.

 Information Provided

HMO Query file format

-- The chart number match between the query and the IRIS database must be a perfect match or the query will be returned in the exception file.

-- The query will be in a fixed length format layout and no record delimiter will be used.

-- The IRIS will perform a match on the chart number supplied and use the names and birth date for verification purposes using the IRIS match program.

-- The Medicaid ID match between the query and the IRIS database must be a perfect match or the query will be returned in the exception file.

--The query will be in a fixed format layout.

Functionality Query File

*Note*  Only information in BLUE is required

  1. Click the submit hmo query link from the left menu.

  2. Enter the File Name in the Job Name Field.

  3. To send the Query files to be processed for the IRIS, click on the  BROWSE  button and find the path for the Query File name on users computer.

  4. Click on the  UPLOAD  button to start the data exchange.  Note this query file is a FLAT File specifically used for HMO query.

Job Name: This section is the title of the action for the Query File

The query file will contain clients served by the HMO and for whom a provider Organization / Patient relationship has previously been established. Failure to have an established provider org/patient relationship will result in the query being returned in the exception file.

*Note*  It is extremely important to wait until you see the Data Exchange Result screen before navigating to another page or  closing your browser.
