Manage Clinicians Screen

 Purpose

The manage clinicians screen is used to enter new and update existing clinicians within your provider organization. Any clinician entered on this screen will be available for selection of 'Ordering Authority' or 'Administered By' on the Pre-select Immunizations screen and/or the Record Immunizations screen. Only users with the Administrator role can access the manage clinicians screen.

Last Name

This is the last name of the clinician that will be listed for selection when pre-selecting or recording information on an immunization.

Selected Sites

These are the sites within your provider organization that the clinician is associated with.

 Functionality

  1. Select a site from the Site pick list to view the list of clinicians associated with your organization.

  2. Select the desired clinician from the listing by clicking on the clinician's name, and the Edit Clinician Information form will be displayed.

  3. Make any desired changes and/or updates to the clinician's information.

  4. Click the Save button to save the new information.

  5. If you have a signature pad connected and installed you can press the Get Signature(s) button at the bottom.

  6. Clinicians with signatures will show on the clinician list with "Y" under the Signature column.

Back to Functionality List

  1. Select a site from the Site list pick list to view the list of clinicians associated with that site.

  2. Select the desired clinician from the listing by clicking on the clinician's name, and the Edit Clinician Information form will be displayed.

  3. Click the Delete button.

  4. A dialogue will be displayed asking if you want to delete the clinician. Click Ok to finish deleting the clinician. (If Cancel is clicked, the clinician will not be deleted.)

Back to Functionality List

  1. Click on Find Clinician.

  2. Enter one or more letters of either (or both of) the clinician's first or last name into the corresponding text boxes, and click the Find button.

    To view a complete list of clinicians, leave both the first and last name text boxes blank, and click the Find button.

  3. If the search returns only one clinician, the Edit Clinician Information form will be displayed for that clinician.

    If the search returns multiple clinicians, a Search Results table will be displayed listing the clinicians found. Select the desired clinician from the table by clicking on the clinician's name, and the Edit Clinician Information form will be displayed.

Back to Functionality List

  1. Click on Add Clinician.

  2. The form Add Clinician Information will be displayed.

  3. Choose a clinician role.

  4. In the corresponding text box, type in the last name of the clinician being entered.

  5. Enter any other information available for the clinician.

  6. Associate the new clinician with at least one site within the provider organization by highlighting the desired site(s) from the Complete Site Listing list box and clicking the Add button. (To associate the new clinician with all sites click the Add All button.)

  7. Click the Save button to save the new clinician.

  8. Upon successfully saving the new clinician the following message will be displayed: "Inserted Clinician: your, clinician". If there is an error you will be prompted to fix it before continuing.

Back to Functionality List

  1. Click on Clinician List.

  2. The table Clinician Listing will be displayed containing a list of every clinician within your provider organization.

  3. Click on the Close button to return to the manage clinicians screen.

 

  1. Click on Find Clinician.

  2. Enter the name of the clinician you want to merge and click on Find.

  3. Select 2 or more clinician by ticking the check box next to the names and click on Merge.

  4. Select the clinician you want to keep and click on Keep Selected.  All records previously associated to the unkept clinician will then be associated to the kept clinician.  Any demographic information, or other information, associated to the unkept clinician will not be retained.
