Schedule Details

 Purpose

The Schedule Details screen allows a user to add, delete, and edit series and intergroup conflicts for a schedule within their organization.  

Information Provided

The Schedule Details for the general fields are listed at the top of the screen.    These fields values apply to all series within the schedule.     

Field Name

Description

Schedule Name

This is the name of the schedule that you are creating for your organization. *Note*

Click the Save button to save your schedule.

Click the Cancel button to cancel any change you might have made.

Click this button to display the entire schedule in a clear user-friendly manner.  There is an option to print the schedule from this screen.

Description

This box can be used for typing in a description for the schedule you are creating/editing.

Grace Period in Days

The number for days (if any) that you wish to apply to either the beginning or end of a series.

Display Vaccine/Series Recommendations

This is a check box that if selected will display the Vaccine column within the Vaccines Recommended sections of the Immunization History and Recommendations screens,    This feature is not available in IRIS at this time.

Enable Jump Forecasting

This box can be used to indicates if vaccine recommendations should reflect the jump rules for a series.    This box is only editable on the ACIP schedule.   The setting however will be applied to all schedules (school, childcare, test schedules etc)

Locked to Others

This check box allows users to lock a schedule. A locked schedule can only be editing or deleting by the user who created it or the IRIS System Manager.

Series Tab

This tab displays all the series in the chosen schedule.  A schedule must have at least one series.      

Field Name

Description

Click this button to Add Series to the Schedule.    Any new series will not be added to your schedule until you save the schedule.  Prior to saving a new series you should review each series tab Schedule Information screen.   A series must have at least one dose.  Saving prior to completion of all tabs may be possible, but can cause users of that series to experience unexpected behavior.  Therefore, be sure that you are done reviewing each tab before saving a series.   To save changes to the series, click the Manage Another Series button on the  Schedule Information screen and then clicking Save on the Schedule Details screen.   

Click this button to remove selected Series from this Schedule.   Clicking Save on the Schedule Details screen will save the change.

Select

This check box allows the user to specify which series they wish to delete from a schedule.

Name

Displays the name of the series as a hyperlink to the Schedule Information screen.   Note that names are used to sort the series.  It is  recommended that the name of  primary or default series for a vaccine group be last alphabetically in case of a select best series tie.

Dose Count

Displays the number of doses in the series.

Invoke on Use

Displays 'Yes; if the series schedule is invoked once a patient receives a does from the series.

Invoke on Age

Displays 'Yes' if the series schedule is invoked once a patient reaches a certain age.

Invoke on High Risk

Displays 'Yes' if the series schedule is invoked for patients of a provider organization that serves high risk area.

Inter-Group Conflict Tab

Intergroup Conflicts allow for minimum intervals between doses in different vaccine groups.   Most often this feature is used for live-virus conflicts.   The Grace Period is not applied to intergroup conflicts.

Field Name

Description

Source

Displays the name of the Vaccine Group or Vaccine that is the source of a conflict if administered within the time period of the Conflicting Vaccine Group or Vaccine.

Conflict

Displays the name of the Vaccine Group or Vaccine that is affected by  conflict if administered within the time period of the Source Vaccine Group or Vaccine.     The validation and recommendations for this vaccine will be adjusted for the conflict period.

Beginning Period

Displays the number of days that the conflict between the Source column and the Conflict column begins.  

Ending Period

Displays the number of days that the conflict between the Source column and the Conflict column ends.  If the end period is 28 D, then the conflict ends on day 28 after the source dose was administered.

Click this button to Add the intergroup conflict to the Schedule

Click this button to Remove the selected Intergroup conflict(s) from this Schedule

Select

This check box allows the user to specify which series they wish to delete from a schedule.

  Notes

In order for the system to create and maintain a record for a patient, school, etc., there is a minimum amount of information necessary that must be provided by a user. These select pieces of information are the Required Fields and are denoted in the system by the blue information field labels as seen in the example below.
